What drives co-packing cost

We do not publish a fake per-unit price. Plants that do are quoting a SKU you do not have. Put the items below in your brief so Florida quotes are comparable.

Format

K-Cups, bags, stick packs, and oral pouches do not share a unit cost. Changeover and component waste differ.

Ingredients

Coffee grade, tea cut, named extracts, and nicotine or active systems dominate the bill. Spot vs contracted buys matter.

Fill weight and dose

Heavier fills and tight mg-per-serving targets add material and QC sampling time.

Packaging print

Custom lids, cartons, and canisters have their own MOQs and plates. Blank components are cheaper for a pilot.

Certifications

USDA Organic and Kosher add sourcing, segregation, and documentation. Confirm scope per SKU.

Volume and SKU count

One flavor at 25,000 units is a different plant day than five flavors at 5,000. Changeovers are real hours.

Storage and shipping

Included storage days, pick fees, and retail appointments belong in the quote if you want them. They are not free add-ons after the PO.

What to send for a real number

Category, format, certifications, flavor or SKU count, target fill, and a 12-month volume guess. If you already own a formula, say toll. If you need a first branded SKU this quarter, say white label.

Then use the quote form or lead times so cost and calendar stay in the same conversation.

Share format, certifications, and volume. We will quote MOQ and a window, not a capabilities deck.
